Add a touch of nature to your home decor with these easy-to-create DIY MOSS Decor mini wreaths. They are easy to make, decorate, and display them in your own style.
Hi friends!
Today, we will repurpose photo frames into beautiful DIY moss decor wreaths. Each frame is adorned with faux roses that I cut from a thrifted wreath, giving the moss frames a touch of summer. These DIY MOSS FRAMES will be added to vintage items, creating a summer vignette for my vendor booth.

Steps to Create DIY Moss Decor Wreaths
Step 1: Remove the glass, glass mounts & any hooks on the back of the frame (you can leave the hook on if you plan on hanging the wreath on the wall)
Step 2: You will want to cover your workspace or do the next part outside. Start pulling reindeer moss out of the bag while twisting a small piece about an inch wide. Twisting helps keep the strands together, which makes it easier to glue onto the frame.
The length of the piece you want will depend on the size of your frame & how much you want to work with at one time. This moss tears easily, or you can cut it using scissors or a knife.
Step 3: Working in small sections at a time, apply hot glue to one corner of the frame. Press the moss firmly onto the hot glue and hold it in place.
Use caution: The piece of moss you are working with is thick, but hot glue may seep through, so be sure to protect your fingers.
Continue hot-gluing the moss around the frame.
Step 4: Fill in any bare spots on the front of the frame and repeat steps 2 & 3 on the sides and of the frame.
Then proceed to the back of the frame UNLESS you want to hang them on a wall.
HELPFUL TIP: If you hang your frame on the wall, I recommend not adding moss to the back. It might stain your wall over time, and your frame will be too bulky and not flat.
.I created my wreaths as shelf sitters and bowl fillers to add texture and a natural look to my booth. They are covered in moss because I thought someone might want to display them similarly.
Step 5: Add florals, greenery, and any embellishments you want.
I purchased a wreath at a thrift store for a few dollars. Parts of it on previous projects, and even after this project, I still have more left. It has saved me money vs. buying new from the store.
I cut the roses, placed them in the center of the frame where I wanted them, and applied hot glue to the leaves to hold them in place.
Please let me know what you would use to embellish these wreaths and how you would style these DIY Moss Decor wreaths in your home.
